make yourself more marketable and take an online course

Two months ago yesterday I recorded my 11th Quarantine Like a Boss! tip, recommending that you take a class to learn a new skill. At that time, I was looking forward to starting a certification course I had just signed up for, to become a LinkedIn profile expert.

Fast forward to now, two months later, and I got the certification!  I am now a fancy Nationally Certified Online Profile Expert (NCOPE). It's a mouthful but it feels amazing to add this expertise to my coaching toolkit, as well as my resume and LinkedIn profile!

Whether you take a class to help you brush up on current industry trends for an interview, or you want to learn something strategic and new to add to your resume, now is a great time to jump into a new class, because there are so many free, online courses available right now. 

This website lists 450 free Ivy League courses available to the general public online as of today. I’m eyeing beginner German. We were supposed to celebrate my 50th birthday this past April skiing in Austria, but the trip was cancelled due to COVID-19. My family is hoping to be able to go next Spring Break, so I have a year to learn some German!

Coursera and Udemy offer more online classes, both free and paid.
