FAQ

q. What Is Coaching, And How Can You Benefit From It?

A. Coaching is a powerful, ongoing relationship that helps you focus and realize your visions and goals. Working with a coach, you will get the tools and support to remove obstacles and facilitate change in your life.

q. Is coaching similar to therapy?

A. No, coaching is not like therapy. You will find that coaching focuses on strategic planning and personal growth and does not attempt to heal emotional trauma. Coaches regularly refer clients to other professionals for issues that are better suited to a therapeutic relationship.

q. How is coaching done?

A. Typically, individual coaching is done by telephone or in person with two to four 1 hour sessions each month for a predetermined length of time, usually between two and six months. The pace of coaching is entirely dependent on you, and what works best for you based on your schedule, priorities and availability. If meeting in person, you and Tracey will arrange a location that best suits your situation. She often meets clients at Work and Play at 19 Prospect St. South Orange, NJ but also has met clients at libraries and coffee shops in the vicinity.

q. What is a typical session like?

A. The hallmark of coaching is self-responsibility. You as the client set the agenda for the session and the Tracey as your coach follows that agenda. You can expect powerful and clarifying questions, focused and fine-tuned planning tools, and accountability. As your coach, Tracey will have high expectations of you and support you thoroughly.

q. How do I figure out if coaching is for me?

A. After you have perused Tracey’s website and decided that coaching could be helpful for you, the next step is to schedule a complimentary phone consultation with Tracey. I do want them to fill that out first). Before you schedule the call, you will be asked to answer some preliminary questions that will give Tracey a good sense for what you are looking to get out of coaching. During the consultation call, the two of you will discuss your specific life and career challenges and aspirations and determine whether you and Tracey are a good fit.

q. what are the Program Details?

A. After your consultation, if you decide to work with Tracey, she will send you a proposal outlining the details of your specific coaching program.

q. what is the Program Investment?

A. The total program investment will be outlined in your proposal from Tracey. Payment must me received prior to or at the initial kick-off meeting. Payments may be made by check, or by Venmo to @Tracey-Gutierrez. If paying by check, please make it out to La Paloma LLC and mail it to Tracey Gutierrez at 52 Sagamore Road, Maplewood, NJ 07040 (or give it to her in person at your first kick-off meeting).

q. how do you handle Scheduling?

A. Scheduling your coaching sessions with Tracey is based on availability. Most of her coaching is done Monday through Friday during the hours of 9am and 2:30pm but she also has a few evening appointments Monday through Thursday 6-8pm, though they tend to book up more quickly.

q. do you have a Cancellation Policy?
